About Olistars Stud
Welcome to Olistars Stud, a family-run breeding establishment built on a lifelong passion for animals, careful breeding and generations of experience.
Our lives have always revolved around animals. Between us, Oliver and Anthony have been involved with horses from around the age of four, and over the years Olistars has developed to encompass our horses, pedigree dogs and Maine Coon cats.
Across everything we breed, our philosophy remains the same: health, soundness and temperament are paramount. We believe good breeding is about far more than appearance or pedigree. It is about making considered breeding decisions, understanding bloodlines and producing healthy, well-adjusted animals that can enjoy long and happy lives.
More than 25 years
Our Dobermans
Dobermans have been part of our lives for over 25 years, and they remain incredibly close to our hearts.
One of the things we are particularly proud of is our continuous female line. In more than 25 years, we have never bought a bitch into our breeding line. Instead, generation after generation, we have carefully retained a female from our own breeding and selected suitable outside stud dogs to complement the strengths of our line.
This has allowed us to know our breeding intimately — not simply what appears on a pedigree, but the temperament, health, soundness and characteristics behind generations of our dogs.
Our aim has always been to produce Dobermans that are impressive representatives of their breed while, most importantly, being sound, stable and loving family companions.
Over the years, our puppies have joined many wonderful families and gone on to live long and happy lives. We are particularly proud of the number of owners who return to Olistars when the time comes to welcome another dog into their family. For us, that returning custom is one of the greatest compliments a breeder can receive.
Small dogs, big personalities
Our Norfolk Terriers
We have been involved with Norfolk Terriers for approximately six years, although the breed had been on our wish list for much longer.
With family roots in Norfolk, there was always a special connection to the breed. We fell in love with their unmistakable character — small dogs with enormous personalities, a wonderfully feisty temperament and a real enthusiasm for life.
They also fit perfectly into life at Olistars Stud. Norfolks make fantastic little farm and stable companions: hardy, confident, inquisitive and generally happiest when they are involved in whatever is going on. Whether around the yard, horses or home, they have become an important part of the Olistars family.
As with our Dobermans, temperament, health and soundness remain at the forefront of our breeding decisions.
Since 2021
Our Maine Coons
Our journey with the magnificent Maine Coon began in 2021, and it didn’t take long for us to become completely hooked on this extraordinary breed.
Since then, we have worked to establish our own Olistars bloodlines, retaining carefully selected homebred cats and building our breeding programme around health-tested, clear parentage.
We particularly love the substantial, traditional look of the breed and pride ourselves on breeding big-boned, XXL-type Maine Coons with impressive presence while maintaining the wonderful temperament for which Maine Coons are so well known.
Health remains central to our breeding programme, alongside type, size, structure and temperament. Our aim is to produce impressive Maine Coons that are equally wonderful family companions.
Where it all began
Our Horses
Horses are where the Olistars story really began.
Both Oliver and Anthony have been involved with horses since approximately four years old, giving us a lifetime of practical experience across breeding, producing and competition horses.
Over the years, Olistars Stud has bred quality competition horses for show jumping, dressage and the show ring, with horses bred by us going on to compete successfully in a variety of disciplines.
We are incredibly proud to have Olistars-bred horses out competing at high levels, including horses associated with Nations Cup competition, alongside many others enjoying successful competitive and ridden careers.
Our breeding programme concentrates on carefully matching mares and stallions, considering bloodlines, conformation, temperament, soundness and athletic ability rather than simply breeding on name alone.
Looking ahead, we have some particularly exciting young stallions coming through the Olistars programme. These horses will be produced, campaigned and competed over the coming years, while also forming an important part of the future of our breeding programme.

We don’t believe in breeding simply for the sake of producing another litter or foal. Every mating should have a purpose: to preserve the qualities we value, complement each parent’s strengths and continually improve the next generation.
These principles have guided Olistars for decades and will continue to shape every generation we breed.
From our long-established Doberman line and characterful Norfolk Terriers, to our XXL-type Maine Coons and performance horses, we are immensely proud of what we have produced — and even prouder of the homes, families and competitive partnerships our animals have gone on to become part of.
